Manufactured by J.P. Sauer and Sohns factory in Suhl. The top of the receiver is marked "147", the wartime code for Sauer and Sohns, over 1939, the year of manufacture. The right side of the receiver has the dual acceptance proof "Eagle/ 359" and "/37" Waffenamt proofs. The left side of the barrel and receiver also have the large Nazi Eagle firing proof along with the serial number and the side wall has the block "Mod 98" markings. The components are the early milled "H" pattern front and wide rear barrel bands with the milled floor plate and trigger guard, both having the correct "Eagle/ 37" acceptance proofs and serial number. On the right side of the buttstock it has the "Eagle/ H" Heers Army acceptance proof over a double "Eagle/ WaA37" Waffenamt, along with two more in the pistol grip area and again on the underside of the stock. Complete with an unmarked leather sling and cleaning rod.

Very fine with approximately 75% finish overall with thinning on the high edges, bolt, barrel bands, trigger and trigger guard. The floor plate has a smooth silver gray patina. The stock is excellent overall with some minor pressure dents and dings and scattered light scratches. The markings are clear. The sling is very good. The action is smooth.
