This is a early commercial training rifle manufactured by the famous Anschutz rifle company in the 1930s which saw service in many of the early Nazi era organizations. These were commonly called a parlor rifle because it fired the short 4mm RF cartridge, which was intended for indoor shooting. The top of the receiver is marked with a circle, which is marked inside "JGA" and the rear portion of the receiver is marked "-JGA-/Wehrsportkarabiner" over the caliber marking. The rear portion of the barrel is marked "J.G.Anschutz/Germaniawaffenwerk, AG Zella-Mehlis/Thur". These rifles were made to duplicate the weight and feel of the K98 rifle and this one has the military style blade front and tangent rear sights, with a flat buttplate, protector and provisions for a side mounted sling.

Excellent with approximately 97% of the original blue finish remaining with some minor surface rust (especially on the trigger guard) and discoloration on the barrel bands. The stock is excellent with some minor scratches and a few minor dings. The markings are clear and crisp.
