Description:

Measuring 4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide, with a thick black felt padded base and blue felt top with gold bullion wire borders and four 5-pointed stars. Worn by members of the C.S.N Admiralty. Included with the board is a photocopied chart of Confederate naval rank insignia and two images of Rear Admiral Raphael Semmes, CSA. Admiral Semmes started his career with the American Navy in 1826 as a Midshipman, and would become famous as the Captain of the CSS Alabama, one of the Confederacy's most successful commerce raiders.
