The 98K was the primary service rifle used by all German forces throughout the war. The top of the receiver is marked "bnz./ 42", the wartime code for Steyr-Daimler and the year of manufacture, with a "WaA625" proof above it. Ramp blade front and tangent rear sights, with the right side of the barrel marked "Si" next to a Waffenamt stamp and a circled "W" icon. Smooth straight grip stock with milled barrel bands and trigger guard, sling cutout, takedown washer and cupped butt. All serial numbers match.

Very good, with 70% of the original blue finish, mixed with a light gray and brown patina, showing some light dings. Stock is fair, with a crack in the wrist and some mild pressure dents. Action is very good.
