This is an excellent example of a professionally restored 1937 dated Mauser S/42 semi automatic pistol. The pistol is finished in blue with straw colored take down lever, trigger, magazine release, ejector and safety lever. The chamber is dated "1937" and the top of the front toggle is marked "S/42". The serial number is marked on the left side barrel extension, front of the frame (suffix included) and bottom of the barrel. The partial serial number "60" is marked on almost all of the small parts. The safety and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. The left side of the breech block is marked with a "droop wing eagle" army test proof and the left side barrel extension and front toggle are marked with a "crown / U" commercial proof mark. The magazine is blue with an aluminum base marked "1 / 6560 / v / crown/U". The backstrap has a stock lug and it is fitted with brown plastic checkered grips. Complete with a brown leather flap holster, and extra identical magazine marked "2". The holster is marked "1916" on the inside upper back and "GEN. D. V. SATTLER / TAPEZIERER F. C. ? / HLHAUSEN KR. ?????"

Professionally restored with almost all of the finish remaining with muzzle and high edge wear. All of the straw colors remain. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings and scuffs. The markings are highlighted in white and remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The holster is very good showing little use or wear and tight stitching.
