This is a WWII German Luger marked "42" on the chamber and "byf" on the toggle. The left side of the barrel extension is marked with the serial number and the left rear of the frame is marked "P.08". The extractor and upper safety area are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. The front of the frame is marked with the serial number and the right side of the barrel extension is marked with "eagle/135" and "eagle/136" proofs and an Eagle firing proof. Side plate is stamped "31" on the outside and "38" on the inside, all other numbers match except the magazine. Blue magazine with black plastic base, marked "fxo" and "P.08" on the left side. Grips are checkered hardwood.

Very good overall, with 95% of the wartime blue, showing a light gray patina along the high edges and the sides of the barrel meet the muzzle, along with some light dings and handling marks. Grips are good as replaced, oversized with pressure dents. Action is good.
