Fine. The rifle retains approximately 50% of the original blue finish with a balance of smooth brown patina. There is smooth gray patina near the muzzle, on the buttplate and on the barrel bands. The breechblock and upper tang retain approximately 80% of the faded case color. The stock is good with some moderate dents and handling wear. The forearm exhibits a couple of mild cracks. The bayonet is very good, retaining approximately 85% of the blue finish mixed with smooth dark patina and some light surface rust. The marking is clear.
