This is a WWII German Luger marked "42" on the chamber and "byf" on the toggle. The left side of the barrel extension is marked with the serial number and the left rear of the frame is marked "P.08". The extractor and upper safety area are marked "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" respectively. The front of the frame is marked with the serial number (with letter suffix "e") and the right side of the barrel extension is marked with two "eagle/ 135" proofs and an Eagle firing proof, with an additional eagle proof on the barrel and toggle link and an "eagle / 135" proof on the left side of the barrel. The small components are marked "58", with the barrel numbered to gun. Blue magazine with black plastic base, marked "fxo" over an "eagle/37" proof and "P.08" on the left side. Grips are checkered plastic. Complete with a correct leather holster marked "bcb /42", combination tool and extra magazine.

Excellent with approximately 96% of the original blue finish remaining with moderate muzzle wear and bright on the high edges. The markings are mostly clear and crisp with some of the proofs beginning to fade. The grips are excellent with light scuff marks along the edges and some light nicks in the overall sharp checkering. The holster is fine with some minor scratches and some moderate age crackling. There is also a small gouge on the flap. The stitching is tight. Mechanically excellent.
