Produced by Colt in 1939. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block address/patent marking with the Rampant Colt in the center and a single "P" on top of the slide in front of the rear sight. The left side of the frame is marked "P" over the magazine catch and "H" next to it, with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S.ARMY" on the right. Fitted with the wide checkered spur hammer, thumb safety, slide release, milled trigger and arched main spring housing. Colt barrel, marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on the left side and checkered hardwood grips. With a two-tone magazine, unmarked. Notes from the consignor state that this pistol was restored.

Near mint as professionally restored by Doug Turnbull, with nearly all of the brush polish blue, showing a few minor handling marks added overall and some tiny dings on the slide serrations. Grips are near mint, with minimal pressure dents and sharp checkering. Action is excellent.
