Description:

This is an excellent example of one of the M11 fully automatic submachine guns. This gun design was originally designed and develop by Gordon Ingram a noted firearms designer in the mid 1960s and was produced by the Military Armament Corp. (MAC) in some numbers both during and after the Vietnam war. In the military role they were usually accompanied by a SIONICS silencer (not included with this lot). This proved to be a perfect match as a very silent, easy to clean and relatively inexpensive to produce silencer that when coupled with this high-volume submachine gun proved to be an extremely compact package. They were a favorite of the CIA, SEALS and Special Forces in a counter insurgency/assassination role, as well as many other Government agencies during this time due to their size which allowed them to fit inside a briefcase. These weapons easy to produce with most of the components being made from basic flat sheet steel that was bent and welded to form the upper and lower frame assemblies with the bolt and barrel being the primary machined parts. They fired from an open bolt and were basically a "hose" with a cyclic rate of something over 800 rounds per minute. After Vietnam the MAC company fell into hard times and was eventually purchased by SWD of Atlanta Georgia. These weapons were produced in three calibers .380, 9 mm and 45 ACP with each one being a little different in actual size based on the caliber. This specific SMG is the smallest of the three and is chambered for the .380 cartridge. The side of the receiver is marked "M11-A1, CAL .380/ SWD INCORPORATED, ATLANTA GA. U.S.A." with the serial number located on the right front edge. It is complete with the attached folding wire stock and one 30 round magazine. This weapon is a fully transferable Class III weapon that has the appropriate ATF/Federal Tax stamp. This is a class III weapon, check for legality in your location.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 99% of the original parkerized finish. The gun appears to be test fired only. The markings are clear and sharp and the bore is excellent. T
