Description:

This is a carbine version of the SAM-1 rifle only in 7.62x39 mm. Fixed blade front sight with protective wings and an adjustable rear sight, unmarked receiver, 4 drilled and tapped mounting holes on the left side, push-button safety and magazine well configured for AK-style magazines. Smooth one piece pistol grip stock with sling swivel and a smooth butt. Included with the arm is a 30-round synthetic magazine and a collection of documentation, including photos of Ingram, technical specifications on several arms, including this one, a copy of the Somalian contract, and a pamphlet dated 1 November 1977 titled "Current Firearms Designs and Ammunition Production Methods Developed by Gordon B. Ingram", which features several outgrowths of this design.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% of the original finish, showing machine marks on the blue of the barrel, bright spots on the bolt, and mild handling marks overall. Stock is excellent overall with minor handling marks, darkening of the varnish on the underside of the forearm, and scattered light pressure dents. PLEASE NOTE: This arm is a prototype, not fully developed, and firing the arm may result in harm to the weapon and/ or the operator.
