Traditional post WW I Gild rifle. Ramp blade front sight and fixed notch rear sight, both mounted on the matte rib, marked "MATTHIAS WAGNER/TRIER" on the right and left sides of the rib, with "2086 8S" on the left flat. A pair of claw mounts have been added to the receiver, with a matte panel on the receiver ring, commercial proofs on the left side of the chamber, turned bolt, light border and zig-zag engraving. Checkered pistol grip stock with shortened forearm, raised oval panels on either side of the receiver, decorated horn grip cap, raised shadow line cheekpiece, sling swivels and ribbed horn buttplate.

Very good as professionally sporterized, with 98% of the current blue showing some mild spotting, a bright gray patina around the muzzle and along the high edges, minor handling marks overall. Stock is very good as repaired, with a small mended chip on the toe and mild pressure dents. Action is excellent.
