These revolvers were manufactured in 1977 and have been beautifully engraved and gold inlaid by Hawaiian engraver C.J. (Chang Jun) Cai. Reportedly these works of art took 300 plus hours to complete, and it shows in the deep rich floral leaf scroll designs which cover the barrels, frames and bottom of the trigger guard bow. The cylinder flats feature floral leaf patterns and all of the background is rich matte. The leaf designs are very intricately highlighted with fine lines representing the veins on the leaves. The sides of the rib are accented with square geometric patterns. The muzzle end of the barrel and shroud have two gold inlaid bands of varied widths with a scroll design coming off of the rear band extending onto the shroud. There is a gold inlaid band around the rear of the cylinder directly behind the flutes. The sides of the frame are highlighted with a gold inlaid wire border. There is a small gold inlaid scroll pattern at the front of the trigger guard, a gold relief Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame and gold inlaid "PYTHON .357" on the left side of the barrel over the standard marking. The right side of the barrel is marked with the standard one line address. The trigger has had a shoe added and the revolver is fitted with oversized smooth two piece ivory grips. The inside of the left panel is red ink stamped "HAND MADE BY / DC" (Dan Chesiak, Colt's custom grip maker) and both are numbered to the gun. One look at these fabulous revolvers and you can appreciate the masterful work and many hours put into creating these true works of art on steel. The pair are complete in a walnut display case with contrasting grains and colors in the lid, green velvet lining and a cartridge block in the center for 45 .357 or .38 rounds.

This revolver is engraved and gold inlay accented exactly like "A" with "DIAMONDBACK" gold inlaid on the left side of the barrel. The grips are oversized smooth two piece ivory with the same red ink stamp "HAND MADE BY / DC" under the right panel and both numbered to the gun.
