Manufactured circa 1973, this Smith & Wesson revolver was beautifully engraved and gold inlaid by Las Vegas engraver Joseph Condon. Sometimes referred to as the "engraver to the stars", Condon has engraved guns for celebrities such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Hackett and Sammy Davis Jr.. The revolver is decorated with floral scroll wedges on each side of the barrel at the muzzle, ahead of and behind the barrel markings on each side, the upper front of the frame and on the cylinder flats. The sides of the solid rib are decorated with a simple scallop and dot pattern. The scroll wedges are accented with gold inlay, the cylinder flutes are bordered with a gold inlaid wire and the "SMITH & WESSON" and "44 MAGNUM" barrel markings are gold inlaid with a gold wire border on the top and bottom. The same scroll pattern is present on the left side of the frame with a decorative gold wire inlaid border and a gold relief head of a cougar. The right side of the frame is engraved with a detailed mountain scene with white gold snow caps, gold accents and decorative wire border and a large gold relief elk. The revolver features a raised ramp front sight with a red insert, adjustable rear sight, casehardened wide serrated trigger and checkered target hammer and fitted with smooth two piece ivory grips.

Near new with only the slightest handling marks and a few scattered age cracks in the grips.
