Description:

Manufactured circa 1971, this Smith & Wesson revolver was beautifully engraved and gold inlaid by Las Vegas engraver Joseph Condon. Sometimes referred to as the "engraver to the stars", Condon has engraved guns for celebrities such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Hackett and Sammy Davis Jr.. The revolver is decorated with floral scroll and punch dot wedges on each side of the barrel at the muzzle, ahead of and behind the barrel markings on each side, the upper front of the frame and on the cylinder flats. The sides of the solid rib are decorated with a simple scallop and dot pattern. The scroll wedges are accented with gold inlay and the cylinder flutes are bordered with a gold inlaid wire. The same scroll pattern is present on the sides of the frame with a decorative gold wire inlaid border and a gold relief bobcat in a wooded scene on the left side and a gold relief fox and rabbit on the right side. The left side of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON" and the right side ".22 LONG RIFLE CTG.", both in a panel and partially amid the engraving. The revolver is finished in a high polished blue with a matte finish on the top of rib and top strap. The revolver features a raised ramp front and adjustable rear sights, casehardened wide serrated trigger and checkered target hammer and fitted with smooth two piece ivory grips.

Rating Definition:

Near new with only slight handling marks and a few hairline to minor age cracks in the grips.
