Fixed sights, standard markings, serrated trigger and black medallion grips. According to the factory records, this pistol was shipped out in January of 1958.

Very good as refinished, showing 90% of the current blue finish, with mild edge wear, patches of brown and gray patina and mild handling marks. Grips are good, with the enamel cleaned out of the medallion and mild pressure dents. Mechanically very good.

Early Standard Model semi automatic pistol with a 5 inch tapered barrel, fixed sights, tubular frame and black checkered hard rubber grips with a red eagle medallion on the left side. Ruger manufactured about 25,600 before Alexander Sturm's death in 1951. After his death the eagle was changed to black.

Very good. The pistol retains approximately 80% of the original finish with a smooth brown patina on the grip frame and trigger guard. There is some wear on the muzzle and front of the frame as well as some thinning on the left side of the frame. The grips are very good plus with a couple of minor bruises and overall crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
