Brass large caliber smoothbore barrel marked with single crown/V and crown/GP proofs and equipped with a bead front sight. Has a fixed notch rear sight, with an engraved breech plug, upper tang and trigger guard. The simple floral engraved casehardened lock plate is marked "MEREDITH", with the floral engraving continuing on the hammer. Swivel iron ramrod, sliding hammer safety and single barrel wedge. Checkered round knob grip.

Fine. The very fine crisp unpolished brass barrel has an attractive mellow aged "mustard yellow" patina. The lock plate retains approximately 30% of the original case colors. The trigger guard and lower tang have a smooth brown patina mixed with nearly 10% original blue finish. The stock is fine with some minor dings and scratches and a few minor pressure dents. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically fine.
