Description:

This is a Cromwell Type Pinfire Knife Pistol with fully carved original ivory panels and grips. The lightly engraved frame is German silver and features a 4" double edge knife and corkscrew trigger. This is a unique example of one of a very rare few with raised carved ivory grips with a lanyard stud installed at the base of the grip.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall. The barrel has a pleasing satin gray metal patina finish. The frame is now a silver gray patina with a few scattered minor dings and light scratches. The corkscrew trigger and knife support frame show strong traces of original blue finish remaining with the balance a mottled gray patina. The knife blade is now a gray patina. The ivory grips and side panels are very fine to excellent showing a fine aging, toning and natural mellowing. A very fine example of an extremely unique knife pistol.
