Manufactured from 1865 to 1888. The top barrel flat is stamped with the standard two line Remington address and patent dates. The barrel has been cut to current length. Matching serial number on frame and barrel. Post front sight and frame notch rear sight, and smooth walnut grips. In a custom leatherette case modified to fit this pistol and lined in black velvet.

Good. The pistol has a smooth brown-gray patina mixed with limited traces of original blue finish in the protected areas. The right panel has a repaired toe, otherwise the grips are very good with some minor dings mostly on the bottom of the right panel. Mechanically excellent. The custom case is fine with some minor wear, some minor leatherette loss and a few minor cracks near the lock.
