This is an excellent example of a byf code P.08 Luger pistol that was manufactured in 1942. Fixed sights, with "42" date on the chamber and "byf" manufacturer code on the toggle. The barrel extension is marked with a pair of "eagle/ 135" proofs and an "eagle/ swastika" proof, which is repeated on the barrel and breechblock. An "eagle/135" proof is stamped on the barrel. Marked "P.08" on the side, with blue small parts and checkered grips. Full serial number on barrel extension, barrel and frame, with the last two digits of the serial number on the small components. "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" marked safety area and extractor. Blued body magazine marked with an "eagle/37" proof and "122" over an "eagle/37" proof. The magazine has an aluminum base numbered to a different gun.

Excellent. The pistol retains approximately 97% original blue finish with some minor wear on the high edges and some very light spotting contained mostly to the barrel and top of side plate. The grips are also excellent with some mild dings in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
