Description:

Produced in 1941 and 1942, less than 1300 of these rifles were made, the design being surpassed by later German developments in semi-automatic rifles. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the cone and front sight base numbered "7928", other parts number "8732". The receiver ring is marked "G.41(M)/ 1942", with "eagle/ 135" proofs, safety switch on the receiver cover, bolt catch on the right side, and the straight handled bolt at the rear of the receiver.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing mild spotting on the bright steel of the barrel, minimal edge wear, and some light handling marks. Stock is good as noted, with light pressure dents and scuffs. Smooth pistol grip stock, minus hand guard and front section, with a brown leather sling and cupped buttplate. Mechanically fine. There is no doubt in writer's mind that someone will restore this extremely rare WW II Nazi semi-automatic rifle. It is well deserving of a proper restoration and will fill a slot in one's collection very nicely!
