Description:

Produced around the 1930's this semi-automatic rifle shows mechanical similarities to the Swiss K-31 series of rifles with a smooth rotating bolt. The rifle operates on a blowback mechanism with a rotating bolt, with a sleeve running the length of the barrel serving as the piston housing and the cocking mechanism. Bead front and two leaf rear sight, with the former mounted on the reciprocating sleeve and the folding leaf not notched. Milled receiver, with the number "2" on the rear face and a safety switch on top. Smooth straight grip stock, with a Schnabel tip forearm, flat panels on either side of the frame, pushbutton floor plate catch, shadow line cheekpiece, sling swivels and a checkered buttplate with Haenel's "CGH" proofmark. Included with the rifle is information on the rifle's mechanics and Haenel's history up to and following World War II.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall with the barrel, sleeve and receiver showing an "in the white" factory metal finish that has browned out overall. Some light handling marks are visible overall. Stock is good, with a crack on the upper left side at the stock line with some small chips and pressure dents. Mechanically very good.
