Description:

Used by the Reichssicherheitshauptamt, parent group of the Kripo, Sipo, Gestapo and Sicherheitsdienst. Officially responsible for internal and external security, the RSHA would play a direct role in the Holocaust, supplying personnel for concentration camps, ghetto police and death squads both inside Germany and in the occupied territories. Consists of a diamond shaped black felt patch, with single thread stitching of a pair of SS lightning runes over a police-style Nazi Eagle in a wreath. Size is 3 1/5" high and 2" wide, and is in excellent condition, with some minor stains on the thread.
