Operating out of his home workshop in California, John Martz is best known for his alterations and upgrades of Luger and P-38 pistols, all of which are performed by him and often take several months of work. Starting life as a pre-WWII DWM blank chamber commercial Luger, the barrel and grip frame of the pistol have been elegantly shortened, maintaining the unique Luger profile in a more handy size. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the "DWM" monogram on the toggle, "crown/ N" on the left side of the extension and toggle, and "207 and "JVM" in ovals under the side plate. Grips are attractive checkered walnut with smooth borders, stock lug on the backstrap and wood based magazine with nickel disc inserts and "JVM" stamp.

Custom reworked/ refurbished, with most of the bright finish, showing some dark scuffs on the underside of the trigger guard and front strap, along with minor handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with 1 or 2 tiny dents and very sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent
