The top of the chamber is dated "41" and the toggle is marked "byf", the war time code for the Mauser factory. The right side of the barrel extension is stamped with two Eagle 655 Waffenamt proofs, next to a small eagle firing proof. The underside of the barrel is stamped with the serial number and the bore dimensions. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with the serial number and the left rear of the frame is marked "P.08". The extractor and upper safety area are marked "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" respectively. It has the all blued finish with checkered walnut grips. It is complete with two spare original WWII German magazines, both have blued magazine bodies with aluminum bases that are numbered and proofed, (non-matching). This model has the all blued wartime finish. Also with the pistol is a military driver's license issued to an Obergefriter Paul Radtke, Kriegsmarine, by Feldpost 44550 N (Occupied Athens) on 22 Feb. 1944.

Excellent with 95% of the original blued finish showing wear on the edges and high spots overall with finish loss on the left and right side of the front sight base/barrel band, the front edges of the frame rails, the side plate hump, the edge of the trigger guard bow. The grips are excellent with nice sharp checkering on the left side with even wear on the tops of the diamonds on the right side. The pistol has matching numbers except all the magazines. License is in good shape, with some minor wear.
