The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top of the barrel and left side of the toggle. The bottom of the barrel is marked with the matching serial number over "8.82". Most small components are marked "13". The safety and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN", respectively. 'Straw' colored components. The sights are a fixed front and notch rear. The backstrap has the stock lug. The magazine is a correct nickel plate WWI version with wood base numbered to another gun. Fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The pistol retains approximately 60% of the original faded, thin finish with high edge wear, wear on the muzzle and some thinning on the barrel and left side of the frame. There is some pin prick type pitting on the muzzle and light spotting on the barrel and grip straps. The trigger guard has thinned to smooth brown and blue streaks. The grips are very fine with scattered minor dings and bruises, and crisp checkering. The safety lever and sear show strong straw colors while the balance of the small parts have a smooth mottled gray patina. The markings remain clear. The action is excellent. A fine representative World War I Luger.
