Description:

Blade/ bayonet lug front sight and folding ladder rear sight graduated to "9" on the barrel with three bands, "25" and "25" amid 3 small proofs, and an integral bolster. Lock plate is marked with a crown behind the hammer, and "TOWER/ 1861" ahead. Light border engraving is present on the lock and hammer, with a small engraved section on the hammer, along with a round checkered panel. Smooth straight grip stock, with a brass tip, metal ramrod and a brass trigger guard and buttplate. Many of these were supplied to the Confederacy by the British during the Civil War.

Rating Definition:

Good, with a mixed brown patina, pitting around the bolster and mild handling marks. Stock is good, with pressure dents concentrated on the left side near the breech, scattered scratches and handling marks, and a few small cracks and chips. Mechanically good.
