Description:

This a good example of a mid-production 1908 commercial luger as produced by the DWM factory. These are standard lugers that were produced at the same time the military models were only intended for commercial sales, this pistol lacks any military proofs. It has the blank chamber area with the DWM markings on top of the toggle with only the Crown "N" proof marks on various parts, and is not marked Germany. It has the standard fixed front sight with checkered walnut grips with a nickel plated magazine with a unmarked wooden base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with approximately 90% of the original blue finish turning a little dull in some area and showing wear on the edges and high spots, with some thinning on the grip straps and more wear on the side plate hump, the left side of the muzzle area and the front of the frame rails. No visible straw colors remain on the small parts. The grips are very good, showing nice checkering overall with minor dents and dings in a few places.
