Description:

The left side of the slide is marked "P.38", "ac/ 41" and "5458b", and the right side has the "eagle/swastika" firing proof flanked by "eagle/WaA 359" proofs. Matching numbers are present on the slide, frame, barrel lug and locking block, with "359" proofs on several parts. Ribbed brown bakelite grips. Matching numbered magazine, with "P.38" on the left side and two "359" proofs on the spine. Included is a capture document for the arm made out to a Sergeant in the 71st Infantry Division, dated 11 June 1945. The 71st ID was responsible for discovering and liberating several concentration camps in the end of the war, and was the subject of the pamphlet "The Seventy-First came to Gunskirchen Lager", a detailed account of a camp liberated by the 71st on May 4, 1945.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish. Some bright edge wear is visible, strongest on the slide, with some light handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
