The rifle has been fitted with a heavy "T-Style" Niedner barrel that has two target scope mounting blocks, one just ahead of the receiver with the second approximately 6 inches forward, a globe Redfield target front sight and the receiver is fitted with a Lyman micrometer rear sight. The top of the receiver is marked "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL 1903" over the serial number. The trigger guard has been modified and an adjustable double set trigger has been added resulting in a very light trigger pull. The smooth one piece pistol grip stock has been modified to accept the much heavier barrel and fitted with an aluminum butt plate, grooved to accept an aluminum Al Freeland target style butt. The floor plate also has a rail attached to accept the included Freeland palm rest. Two pistol cases are included for carrying the accessories.

Fine. The barrel shows 95% of the original Niedner blue finish with some thinning and light scratches overall. The receiver retains 85% of the original parkerized finish with thinning and light edge wear. The wood is very good with some nicks and dings with the right side showing an area where a plate was attached with an adhesive that has since been removed. Mechanically excellent.
