Description:

Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt patent and address markings around the Rampant Colt on the left side and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" on the right. The pre-1924 Government Model frame is marked "7" and "G" on top, but is otherwise unmarked. Smooth long trigger, wide hammer, short grip safety, checkered slide stop and safety, and flat mainspring housing with the lanyard staple removed. Grips are checkered walnut with diamond patterns, magazine is two-tone with lanyard staple, and the barrel is marked with the intertwined "HP" on top of the chamber.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 95% of the original factory commercial high polish blue finish on the frame, showing the start of a gray patina on the front strap. The slide has a small patch of cold blue applied between the serrations and model marking on the slide, and some minor handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. This is either a sample, a replacement pistol or a "lunch box" employee walk-away. Whatever the case, it is still a highly unique Colt automatic pistol.
