Made in 1944. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." and "P" on top ahead of the rear sight. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Corps cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" around the stop hole, over the "NO." style serial number. The left side of the frame is stamped with Frank J. Atwood's inspector mark and "P" around the magazine release. Checkered stamped trigger, thin hammer spur, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch, serrated mainspring housing and late style Keyes Fibre grips. High Standard barrel, with the full blue magazine marked "L" on the toe.

Excellent, with 96% of the original parkerized finish, showing light edge wear and scattered handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with sharp checkering and a few tiny pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
