Introduced in 1937, this particular pistol was manufactured in 1945 during the last year of production. Features fixed blade front and adjustable square notch rear sights with a checkered spur hammer and trigger, grip and thumb safeties, blued 10 round Colt Service Model marked magazine, and two-piece checkered brown plastic grips. The left side of the slide is marked with the standard two line Colt address/patent date information, followed by the Rampant Colt, with the frame being marked, "JSB" below the slide catch. The right side of the slide is marked, "COLT" next to "SERVICE / MODEL" followed by "ACE" (within a diamond) "22 LONG / RIFLE", with the serial number and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" mark stamped below on the frame.

Excellent, with approximately 98% original parkerized finish. There is some minor edge wear on the slide, as well as along the high points of the frame. In addition, there are also a few scattered minor handling marks, a few moderate scratches on the right side of the slide, and a spot of minor thinning on the front strap and side working surface of the grip safety. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
