Description:

Rare and desirable V-42 Stiletto manufactured by the Case Cutlery Company. The V-42 was inspired by the Fairbairn-Sikes Commando Knife and issued to the joint U.S. and Canadian 1st Special Service Force. Small numbers of V-42 knives were also issued by the U.S. Navy. The distinctive V-42 knife has a blued 7 1/4 inch blade with a serrated "thumb print" on the ricasso. A pointed, steel, skull-crusher pommel and grip made of leather washers. The right side of the blade is marked "Case" below the oval cross guard. With Stiletto leather scabbard that has been shortened.

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus with 98% of the original blue finish remaining on the blade and some very light scratches. The grips and shortened scabbard are also excellent.
