Description:

Approximately 20,000 of these rifles were manufactured between 1924 and 1933. The M1 is similar to the 1922 with the single point striker system and detachable magazine that does not protrude from the bottom of the stock and the upgraded M2 bolt. The receiver ring has the standard M1 marking with the additional "I". The barrel is marked "SA / ordnance bomb / 7-27". It has a Lyman globe front sight and the military 48C target rear sight, adjustable for windage and elevation. Correct NRA sporter style pistol grip stock with no visible markings and cupped checkered steel buttplate and leather "BOYT / 44" marked sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine with approximately 30% of the thinning blue finish remaining. There are a few minor dings, some light spotting and a small area of minor pitting on the barrel and some high edge wear on the receiver. The floor plate and trigger have a smooth mottled brown patina. The outer edges of the buttplate have been cleaned bright. The stock is fine and shows scattered minor pressure dents and dings. The sling is good with some signs of use, some light stains and tight stitching. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent.
