Remington M1903A-4 Sniper Rifle from the first production block. The marking "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" is roll-stamped on the left side of the receiver to clear the scope mount. The serial number "3414663" is located on the right side of the scope mount. The two-groove barrel is correctly not fitted with a front sight base and is marked: "RA/Ordnance Shell and Flame/9-43". The scope mount is parkerized, has a beveled rear and is marked with the maker's name "REDFIELD" on the right side. The adjustment screws on the side of the scope mount are parkerized. The barrel, receiver, milled trigger guard, floor plate, follower, scope base, rings, barrel bands and butt plate all have a light gray green parkerized finish. The bolt body has the distinctive Model 1903A3 forged handle and the complete bolt assembly, (cocking piece, bolt sleeve and extractor) also have the same gray green parkerized finish. The original M82 scope has the single post cross hairs with an all blued finish. Interestingly the markings of the telescope are roll-marked on the right side of the tube up side down instead of the left, however they look 100% correct. They read; "TELESCOPE M82/ SERIAL NO. 35588/STOCK NO./84374" in three lines. The magazine cut-off has the early serif markings and has a parkerized finish. The rifle has the early style flat side "C" pistol grip stock with bolt notch on the right side with the sub inspector proofs in front of the trigger guard with a small "S" proof in the cutoff. The left side has a Ordnance final inspection mark of "FJA" with a circled "P" proof mark on the inside of the pistol grip behind the trigger guard. The left side of the butt stock has a boxed "RIA/EB" rebuilt cartouche. The rifle is complete with an original russet leather Model 1907 leather sling that is unmarked.

Excellent overall with 98% gray green parkerized finish on all the metal parts. The scope has 97% of the original blued finish with some minor scratches on the underside of the tube behind the sunshade. The stock and hand guard are both in excellent condition with a nice medium brown color overall. The "FJA" and "P" proofs are faint and the "RIA" cartouche is clear and visible.
