Description:

1) Roughly 28 1/4" x 39 3/4" dated 1943 poster of a militiaman statue set against a colonial style town. With the U.S Government Printing Office marking. 2) Roughly 21 3/8" x 27 7/8" poster of a dead U.S. soldier. with Bukely Dement marking. 3) Roughly 22 1/4" x 16" poster dated 1943 with workwoman using an industrial machine. With the Office of War Information marking. 4) Roughly 22" x 28" dated 1943 poster marked, with the Civil Defense and Red Cross insignia and U.S. Printing Office marking. 5) Roughly 22" x 28" graphic designed posted dated 1942 featuring a crowd of soldiers swarming out of a line of railroad cars, with the U.S. Printing Office marking. 6) Roughly 20" x 28" poster dated 1942 featuring a workman holding a $25 U.S. bond, with the U.S. Government Printing Office marking. 7) Circa 1943. It features various articles explaining how to bring the war effort to the classroom. 8-9) "Big Guns", a 4 page instruction manual for retail stores in displaying war bonds/war stamps posters. 10) 4 pages from an unknown wartime educational bulletin that unfolds to a roughly 22 1/2" x 13" poster explaining how a sequence of various war effort activities allows for an American fighter pilot to shoot down Japanese aircraft. 11) 20" x 28" 5th War Loan poster dated 1944 and featuring graph designs of a workman holding a chart to keep track of how many employees are buying loans and a workwoman holding a chart to keep track of sales, with the U.S. Printing Office marking on the bottom white border. 12) 28" x 22" poster with a charging U.S. solider in full combat gear and holding a rifle with a bayonet. Behind him are images of workmen/women, with the U.S. Printing Office marking. 13) 22" x 28" 2nd War Loan dated 1943 poster with U.S Printing Office marking. 14) 22" x 28" poster shows a statue of a militiaman set against a colonial style town, with the U.S Printing Office marking.

Rating Definition:

All posters are very fine. Each poster is folded with strong fold lines and a few minor tears along the folds. There is minor edge wear with a few light tears. All color is vivid and bright. Other exceptions are noted as follows: 7) missing corners and has some pin sized holes near the corners. 8) has a 3 inch tear near the middle. 13) has a 2 inch tear near the middle. 14) has some moderate staining and some pin sized holes near the edges.
