Made in 1944. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." and "P" on top ahead of the rear sight. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Corps cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" around the stop hole, over the "NO." style serial number. The left side of the frame is restamped with Frank J. Atwood's inspector mark and "P" around the magazine release. Checkered stamped trigger, thin serrated hammer spur, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch, serrated mainspring housing and late style Keyes Fibre grips. High Standard barrel, with the full blue magazine marked "s" on the toe.

Excellent, with 97% of the original parker zed finish, showing a few brown streaks on the right side of the slide, mild edge wear and scattered handling marks. Grips are excellent, with a few minor pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
