Fixed sights, with the three line patent markings on the left side of the slide next to the flaming bomb marking and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" on the right. Frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the right side, with an "H" ahead of the sear release and no serial number. No inspector's mark (proper). Fitted with the long trigger, flat top rear sight, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, checkered slide stop and thumb safety and flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple. Checkered hardwood grips with diamond patterns around the screws and a barrel marked "2" on the right side of the lug.

Very fine, with approximately 60% of the original late WWI dark brush blue finish (Black Army type). A brown patina is forming on several areas, strongest on the frame, with mild edge wear, spotting and scattered handling marks. Grips are fine, with a wide pressure dent on the right side and some smaller handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
