Serial number with "SA" prefix is indicative of Third Generation SAAs. This is a Colt Texas Gun Collectors Association 1995 Show Gun Sheriffs Model revolver, also known as the 1995 TGCA Club gun. Silver finish with bright niter blue screws and without an ejector. The two-line Colt Harford address is marked on the bottom of the barrel and ".44 CF" on the trigger guard. The barrel and frame are scroll engraved with punch dot background. Zigzag and dot patterns are engraved on the top and underside of the frame, front sides of the frame with single star bursts, rear of the cylinder and recoil shields with additional half circle and zigzag patterns. Simple floral-like patterns are engraved between the cylinder flutes and a fan-like pattern is engraved on the top of the backstrap. The backstrap is engraved with the block inscription "'1995 SHOW GUN'" and "TGCA 3" on the butt. The accompanying Colt factory letter identifies this revolver with Fleur-de-lis checkered ivory grips. According to the consignor, the Fleur-de-lis checkered ivory grips are new and were carved by the renowned artist Paul Persinger of El Paso. The letter states that the original shipment address for this revolver is unavailable and was returned to the factory for evaluation and issuance of the historical letter. The last known shipment address, states the letter, was to Collector Firearms, Houston, Texas, on 16 November 2006. Included is a Colt wooden case lined with blue velvet and missing key. Complete with Colt factory blue box and 1994 dated ordering information from the Texas Gun Collectors Association to Colt Manufacturing.
