This fine quality, possibly German, boys rifle features an octagon barrel with fixed sights. There are no visible maker markings. Brass furniture including the shotgun style buttplate. Full length plain straight grip stock with wooden patch box, tear drop style stock flats, sling swivels, single trigger and raised cheekpiece with pearl inlays surrounded by a raised relief carving. The top of the wrist has a heart shaped escutcheon and the forearm has a bone tip. Wooden ramrod with horn tip is included.

Rating Definition:

Good. Overall the rifle has a smooth dark patina with some scattered minor spotting. The period revarnished and filled stock is good with exception of a cracked wrist, a loose chip near the lock plate and some minor dings and scratches, along with some material loss on the forearm tip. Mechanically needs work.
