Manufactured from 1865 to 1888. The top barrel flat is stamped with the standard two line Remington address and patent dates. The barrel has been cut to current length. Matching serial number on frame and barrel. Brass cone front sight and frame notch rear sight, and smooth walnut grips.

Good as period modified (see above). The pistol has a smooth dark gray patina mixed with limited traces of original blue finish in the protected areas. There is a chipped toe, otherwise the grips are very fine with a few mild dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
