Also known as the Saw Handle Deringer, manufactured between 1865 and 1888. The barrel is chambered for the rare .30 rimfire caliber with a total quantity estimated at 500. The top barrel flat is marked "REMINGTON'S ILION, N.Y. / PATD. OCT. 1, 1861. NOV. 15, 1864". Post front sight, frame notch rear sight and fitted with rosewood grips. The serial number is on the frame under the left grip.

Good. The pistol has a smooth gray patina with noticeable traces of original blue on the hammer. A frame screw (above the trigger) is missing. The grips are very good with the exception of a chipped toe and minimal mild handling marks. Mechanically fine.
