Description:

This is a rare percussion revolver based on the Collier patent with a limited number of these revolvers produced and is a percussion version of Elisha Hayden Collier's flintlock revolving pistol. The pistol is an unusual example due to the shorter barrel and percussion ignition. The lock plate is marked with a large crown (denoting royal appointment) followed by "COLLIER PATENT". The left stock flat features an inlaid plaque engraved with a star burst with the name "EVANS" period inscribed in block letters. Five shot fluted manually revolved cylinder, octagon barrel and solid rib with bead front sight. Plain walnut stock with flared butt with floral engraved cap. Comes with the original steel tipped ramrod with worm.

Rating Definition:

Good. The revolver has a mix between a smooth brown patina and smooth gray patina with some pin prick pitting (slightly heaver pitting on the cylinder and breech end of barrel). Tang has been repaired many years ago at the area of the serial number and screws are slightly marred. The sanded stock is fair with the exception of some material loss and a couple small cracks, along with some minor dings and scratches. The lock plate is loose (a screw is missing) and the cylinder cover is missing. Mechanically needs work as the cylinder does not manually rotate.
