Description:

This rifle features a blade front sight and an adjustable rear notch sight with the base marked form 50 to 200. The left barrel flat is marked "E LEFAUCHEUX / INvr BREVETES" with a "crown/V" proof. Scroll type trigger guard, loading gate and ejector rod. Casehardened frame and buttplate with remaining surfaces blue. The 6-shot cylinder is marked with a Liege "ELG" proof and a "crown/V" proof, with "#8" marked on the rear face. Functions in single and double action. Mounted on a straight grip stock with shotgun style iron buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel and cylinder retain approximately 80% original bright blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some scattered pin prick pitting where the finish has flaked. The frame and buttplate retain approximately 70% original case colors. The stock is very fine with some minor dings and scratches that are heavier near the toe. Mechanically excellent.
