This rifle has a blade front sight and a fixed leaf rear sight (a folding leaf is missing) on a barrel faintly marked "ACIER FONDU" (cast steel). The right barrel flat is marked with a Liege "ELG" proof and a "crown/V" proof at the breech. Scroll type trigger guard, fluted 10-shot cylinder and ejector rod. A cylinder flute is marked "J. CH" with the remaining marking illegible. Functions in single and double action. Mounted on a smooth straight grip stock with a butt sling swivel. Barrel has a sling swivel stud.

Good. The rifle has been cleaned bright with some scattered minor pitting that is stronger on the cylinder. The loading gate does not latch and the barrel is slightly loose. The period repaired and refinished stock is very good with a few hairline cracks and some scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically very good. The barrel is a little loose.
