Description:

The carbine has the R.S. Lawrence patent rear sight and pellet primer and a sling bar with no ring is fitted to the left side of the stock and receiver. The barrel is roll-stamped with the three line Sharps address ahead of the rear sight and the model designation behind it. The sides of the receiver have the standard Sharps and Lawrence patent markings. The serial number is stamped on the upper tang. Stock has a casehardened patch box and buttplate and "E.A..W." cartouche near the buttplate heel. Forearm has the "C.H.B." cartouche.

Rating Definition:

Partially refinished (barrel) with balance very fine as assembled. The barrel and barrel band retain approximately 99% refinished blue finish with some covered over minor pitting. The hammer has a gray patina. The action, patch box and buttplate retain approximately 95% of the vivid case colors. The wood is very fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. A very attractive representative example.
