Description:

This is a solid example of a scarce 9mm Model 1906 Commercial Luger with the distinctive "AMERICAN EAGLE" crest on the chamber. Directly under the frame serial number it is marked "GERMANY" and it is fitted with a nickel plated wood base magazine with "Cal 9 m/m" on the bottom. The trigger, thumb safety, latch, and magazine release are done in a "straw" finish, while the toggle pin and grip screws are finished in a heat blue. The full serial number is located on the frame and the bottom of the barrel, and matching partial serial numbers are stamped on the side plate, takedown latch, trigger and rear toggle link. Polished lower safety position and "LOADED" marked extractor.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 75% of the faded original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, the start of a brown and gray patina, minor pitting on the exposed areas and light handling marks overall. Grips are very good, with moderate wear and some pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
