This is a very nice and scarce example of a custom refurbished 1939 Mauser military luger with a "Krieghoff" toggle assembly. Approximately 9,000 of these 4 digit serial number Lugers were produced from 1936 to 1945. The top of the toggle is marked with the, "H/K/ANCHOR" logo over "KRIGEHOFF / SUHL" and "1939" is stamped over the chamber. There is a faint eagle proof on the right side rear of the barrel and a droop wing eagle proof on the left side of the breech block. The safety and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. The front strap is Navy marked "N / 3788". All components except toggle assembly have matching serial numbers. Shoulder stock lug, blue magazine with pot metal base marked "5114 / e / +". Fitted with black plastic checkered grips. The trigger, safety bar, rear bar plunger pin, and ejector are bright. The remaining surfaces are blue. The pistol is complete with a black leather flap Nazi police holster marked "A FISCHER / BERLIN C 2 / 1943" over a "eagle/swastika" on the back between the belt loops.

Custom refinished and assembled with 98% of the high polish finish remaining and only the slightest handling marks. The grips are reproductions that have a few very minor dings and sharp checkering. Unless noted above, the markings are clear. Mechanically fine. The holster is good, showing some wear. Usage and minor age cracking on the magazine pouch. One belt loop has been replaced and the stitching remains tight.
