This is an example of a P08 Luger dated "41" on the chamber and marked "byf" on the toggle. The left side of the barrel extension is marked with the serial number and the left rear of the frame is marked "P08". The extractor and safety are marked "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" respectively. The front of the frame is marked with the serial number and the right side of the barrel extension is marked with two German "eagle / 655" proof marks followed by the firing proof. The firing proof is marked on the right rear of the barrel, the left rear is marked with an "eagle / 655" proof, and the bottom is marked with the matching serial number and "8.82" The German firing proof also appears on the left side of the toggle and almost all of the small components are marked with the partial serial number "86". Blue P08 marked magazine with aluminum base numbered to the gun, stock lug on the backstrap and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus of the original blue finish with wear and thinning on the muzzle, left side plate and on the stock lug, and overall some light handling marks. The grips are near fine with exception of a chip of wood missing under the safety lever with some scattered dings and bruises, and crisp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
